Aimee's Winning Plate Design

After a dismal start to the day, the weather cheered up enormously for this year's Strawberry Tea on Saturday 6th June. Delicious teas were served to our 64 guests in a village hall adorned with bright table cloths and napkins with a stunning display of decorated plates at the far end.  There had been much activity in the school whilst the children undertook this project, organised by Bev Searle. The winner was Aimie, one of the youngest children in the school, whose plate we feature in this report. At the other end of the age-span was the judge for the competition and one of our committee members, Walter Ellen.

The grand sum of £310 was raised at this event.  This could not have been achieved without your support, so a big thank you for that.

We would also like to thank Jo Atkinson and Bernie Walters who stepped in at the last minute to help in the kitchen to cover for absentees!

Here's to next time!
