The Village Hall is available for hire for a variety of purposes. Certain events (see the list below) are charged at a standard rate irrespective of how long the Hall is in use; for events not contained in this list, the hiring fee is based on an hourly rate (currently £6.00 per hour). Standard events and their respective hiring fees are as follows: | Provision of a lunch | £50.00* | | Provision of a Tea | £25.00* | | Provision of a Supper | £50.00* | | Quiz | £50.00 | | Family Party | £60.00* | | Shows | £25.00 |
* If food is being provided, the Friendly Society’s white crockery and cutlery is available for use subject to a donation of £10.00. This donation should be passed directly to the Friendly Society’s honorary treasurer, Tony Shepherd.
All bookings are recorded in a booking’s diary. This diary is normally held by the Village Hall Committee chairman, Peter Bright. If you wish to hire the Hall, please contact Peter on 01749 870640 to ensure that the Hall is available at the time you require. If you are booking the Hall for the first time, a Hiring Agreement must be completed. The first page of the Hiring Agreement incorporates details about the hirer, the purpose and the costs of hire. The second page details the Schedule of Special Conditions and provides information relating to the general housekeeping of the Hall during the period of hire. Where required, the hirer completes Page 1 of the Hiring Agreement and sends the form to the address noted in Section 1 of the Agreement. The Agreement is then counter-signed on behalf of the Village Hall Committee and returned to the hirer. If you require a Hiring Agreement and cannot download the two pages of the form, a paper copy can be obtained directly from Peter. If you experience any problems during your period of hire or you wish to raise any general queries, please contact one of the following key-holders: • Peter Bright (01749 870640); • Nick Mayor (01749 870575); • John Barkle (01749 870063). Alternatively, you can contact any other member of the Village Hall Committee. |
