Speeding - a tip

If you find it hard to stick to the speed limit while driving through the village because the car just "won't go that slowly" try staying in 4th (or even 3rd) gear. You'll find that the higher revs of the engine make it sound as if you're going fast and you'll naturally drive more slowly.

Westbury-sub-Mendip

Westbury-sub-MendipWestbury-sub-Mendip is a village with a population of about 800, situated on the southern slopes of the Mendip Hills half-way between the cathedral city of Wells and the world-famous Cheddar Gorge. Glastonbury, famous for its Abbey and music festival, is about fifteen minutes away. Bristol Airport, now served by low-cost airlines, can be reached in less than half an hour. A choice of bed & breakfast and self-catering accommodation is available within the village.

Our web site aims to provide a snapshot of community life in this attractive Somerset village, as well as useful links to a wide range of local and national web sites.
