QUIZ
NIGHT

John Field
tries to add up the scores, while Martin Harrington waits to
put the next question to ...

an
attentive audience.
|
Put to the test by
question compiler Martin Harrington, and fuelled by cheese and wine,
fourteen teams battled it out to a tense finish. Last year’s top three
teams again made it into the first three places, though in a different
order.
A tiebreaker was needed to decide second and third
places, with last year’s winners, Helen Allen’s Simple Minds, being
edged into third place by Chris Healey, representing Saints &
Sinners. First prize went the Toppers, last year’s runners-up, led by
Ian Ward.
|
We are again grateful to Martin Harrington for devising the
questions and acting as quizmaster, and were pleased to see his efforts
being suitably rewarded by a liquid dividend on his investment in raffle
tickets.

Scorer John
Field puts tiebreaker question to Chris Healey (Saints &
Sinners) and Helen Allen (Simple Minds).
