QUIZ
This year, the questions for each round were set by different
people, but this didn't stop last year's winners, the
inappropriately named Simple Minds, from winning yet again. A
new team of familiar faces called Norfolk & Chance fought their way into
second place, and Saints & Sinners came third.
Philip Hawthorn proved himself to be
such an enthusiastic quizmaster that he's in serious danger of being
pressed into service again next year.
CHRISTMAS
RAFFLE
Quiz sessions alternated with drawing the prize-winning
tickets in the Christmas Raffle. This year's top prize of £100 was won by Ed
Bowron of Roughmoor Lane.
The
raffle is the biggest contribution to the Friendly Society's
fund-raising effort, and makes it possible to run events like the
Senior Citizen's Outing and Club Day. We would like to thank everyone who donated
such a wonderful array of prizes, and all those who supported the
raffle by buying tickets.
