Westbury-sub-Mendip
is a village with a population of about 800,
situated on the southern slopes of the Mendip Hills (location
map) half-way between the cathedral city of
Wells and the world-famous Cheddar Gorge. Glastonbury, famous
for its Abbey and music festival, is about fifteen minutes
away. Bristol Airport, now served by low-cost airlines, can be reached in less than half an hour.
A choice of bed & breakfast and self-catering
accommodation is available within the village.
